On Tuesday evening February 25th, 2020 Margaret’s Cantina hosted a very special “Meet the Artists” community Appreciation Night.
We were able to meet the current artists on display at Margaret’s Cantina and it was a fun evening. This was a charity event for Emerson Waldorf School and other Charities where 10% of the art purchase price went to one of the charities, and a portion of food and drink proceeds did too. Gillian sold two paintings from that event.

The folks at Arts Access in Raleigh https://artsaccessinc.org invited Gillian to display a few of her paintings at a table at an Evening With Arts Access on December Third 2020 at the North Carolina Museum of History.
Margaret’s Cantina gave Gillian a wall space for 11 pieces of her work. This show was up, since the summer of 2019 with an ending date of April 1st, 2022, when Margarettes Cantina closed their doors at end of lease.
In 2021, Gillian was asked to contribute some more of her work, so there were a total of 23 pieces at Margaret’s Cantina. On the back wall, above the Bar and in the main booth’s dining area.
10% of Gillian’s Art sales at Margaret’s Cantina went to Voices Together, a local group focused on helping individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. She sold two paintings during this show
Her show at the Joe Van Gogh, Coffee shop in Chapel Hill off of Weaver Dairy Road, in the Timberlyne shopping center went through the months of July and August 2018. She sold 5 paintings at that show.
Gillian’s previous reception was at The Open Eye Cafe, in Carborro, February 2018, and as well, she sold 5 more pieces of her work at the reception for that exhibit.
She also had 3 pieces at the JCC in Durham, NC for a Disability Awareness Art Exhibit, in February, 2018, two in February 2019 and one large painting this year for February 2020.
She was given a large wall space at Special Treats, in the Timberlyne Shopping Center until they closed and moved to another location at the start of the 2020 Pandemic.
